A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

My name is Magdalena , but i like to be called Mags

Getting in shape shouldn’t be a punishment. It’s an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone can make. I believe that everyone is able to find the pleasurable side of fitness, and while there may be a sore muscle or two along the way, the benefits are worth the try.

I was once a very different person. Most of my life till my late 20's, I was quite a lazy individual and disliked any form of exercise, even taking the bus home, living just one stop away from the school.
After graduating university, I started an office environment job, so sitting more than ever before and cooking more (I do love cooking) weight started piling up slowly but steadily over a 7-year period. I got to 73 kg being just 158 cm (5’1). I started developing health conditions when I was in my mid-20s: stomach reflux, IBS, high cholesterol. I felt like I needed to change my ways. I felt unhappy about my body too, lack of energy, so I signed up for the gym for the first time in my life. It started with cardio 2/3 times per week, and when I lifted my first barbell, love at first sight happened. I started reading and learning about lifting. After 6 months, I started losing weight, feeling better and energized like never before. I lost 25 kg over a period of 15-20 months by training myself and educating about healthier lifestyle choices and creating balance and my health concerns disappeared completely.

Fitness helped me to feel better in so many ways, but most importantly, it changed how I think and what I value. I'm a new woman with a stronger mind-set, improved respect, self-esteem and much better mental health today. Fitness changed my perspective so much that I decided to become a fitness trainer, share my passion with others, and help them work towards the best versions of themselves. In 2023 I competed in my first Novice fitness bodybuilding competitions. I loved the experience and all the learning I took from it.
